Craft from passion

Forrest Carpentry grows from a love of nature, a need to create, and an enduring fascination with wood.

I create objects, art and buildings — from a single detail to an entire space.

Why I work

During one of the projects I said:

“We build you a house — but you are the ones who make it a home.”

That line stayed with me because it best describes the point of my work. I create the form — lasting, functional and beautiful. Only the person who fills it with their life turns it into a true home.

The forest as teacher

The forest is my great teacher. It teaches patience, simplicity and respect for material. What I find there, I want to pass on: calm, breath and space to rest. That is what lives in the name ForRest.

Things that last for years

I treat every project as my own. I care not only how it looks on handover day, but how it will work, serve and age over the years. That is why I mind materials, proportions, structure, finish and details — including the ones you don’t see at first glance.

“I don’t hand over anything I wouldn’t want in my own home.”
